Dickerson has served the people of Northeastern Georgia for nearly five decades. He has taken on a variety of cases, including medical malpractice, business litigation, tort litigation, insurance defense, civil rights defense and other legal issues.
He has also earned a reputation for his expansive knowledge of local government laws, his tenacity in the courtroom and professional integrity from both plaintiffs and defendants alike. Some of his most prominent clients include MAG Mutual Insurance and State Farm.
Education and background
His career journey began back in the 1960s, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science from Clemson University in South Carolina. He then went on to attend the University of Georgia Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1971.
Leadership roles and accomplishments
Dickerson has reached several milestones throughout his career. He’s served on a variety of professional legal organizations and received multiple honors throughout his years of service. Some of the organizations he’s led and been a part of include:
- The Stephens County Bar Association
- The Mountain Judicial Circuit Bar Association
- The State Bar of Georgia
- The Georgia Defense Lawyers Association
- The Defense Research Institute
- Georgia Municipal Attorneys
He has also currently a Fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers and was on Georgia’s State Disciplinary Board from 1986 to 1991.
